Blazing Glory is a flashy and "lightning fast" work for six trumpets. Opening with a fanfare trio, this piece travels between moments of vibrant flare to scenes of gritty tension all while moving at the quick pace of a staggered 7/4 ostinato. Meant to be a challenging in-between, Blazing Glory provides a tiered level of difficulty across parts as a means of introducing performers to standard competition pieces.
